As a Contemporary Impressionist painter, my focus is to capture the small simple moments we may encounter but, those which make a lasting visual impact. Sometimes it can be something so fleeting and memorable that it will prompt the need to create a painting. In my paintings, I try to communicate just a suggestion of what I see without rendering the subject completely. My intent is to add just enough detail to prompt the spectator to become immersed in the scene.
