RAA&M Auction Consignment Information
The Rockport Art Association & Museum is looking for works by prominent Historic American Artists for its annual fundraising auction.
Please consider consigning with us today!
CONSIGNMENT GUIDELINES
Low consignment rates. 92% of auction lots sold in 2022. 86% of auction lots sold in 2023.
Only works by historic (deceased) artists are eligible for the auction.
All artwork submitted for auction consignment must be received by March 9, 2024 and will be reviewed by the RAA&M Auction Committee to determine acceptance. This is to ensure a varied and interesting auction.
Artwork may be submitted in person by appointment only. For consignors who do not live nearby, digital images and information may be submitted via email as a first step to determine our interest prior to making delivery arrangements.
The RAA&M receives a minimum of 10% of the hammer price for all works that sell for $1,000 and over and a minimum of 20% of the hammer price for all works that sell for under $1,000. We encourage consignors to donate a larger percentage, as this is a very important RAA&M fundraiser. Full donations of paintings are greatly appreciated.
For artwork that is included in the auction, consignors have the option of setting a reserve (minimum price). Any reserves must be at or below the low end of the estimate range set by the RAA&M Auction Committee.
All works that are accepted must be properly and securely framed and ready for hanging prior to the Auction Preview Exhibition.
