Mike Dorsey

Mike is a juried artist member of the North Shore Art Association, Rockport Art Association and Museum, the Oil Painters of America and a Master Level member of the Newburyport Art Association. A student at the Rhode Island School of Design, he won awards of national and international awards for Animation.
STATEMENT
I favor oils, but work in watercolor occasionally. My guiding principle is making hand-made images that catch the enchantment of a place and of a moment. I hope to take my viewer into the realm of the mystery.

Gruppe Award for Excellence In Marine Painting, NSAA; Second Place Prize Roux and Cyr International Fine Arts; Awarded a Two Person Show, Roux and Cyr International Gallery of Art; Mystic Seaport International Marine Master Painter Exhibition; five international awards for animation, and nomination to represent the New England in the Student Academy Awards.
