I retired in 2016 from my career as a radiologist. Virtually all of the imaging was in black and white which probably contributes to my love of color. Some of the imaging principles we had to learn have parallels in photography. Beyond that I have no formal training in photographic technique. I continue to study online courses and instructional material on disk. Informal discussions with other photographers have also proven to provide useful information.

I was honored to be accepted as a juried artist member in the Rockport Art Association. Since then I have joined the Lynnfield Art Guild. My connection to Rockport began with frequent visits as a child. My uncle owned the store that sat on the property where the Shalin Liu Performance Center is now located. My love for Rockport and its beauty remains strong.

My photography interests include lighthouses, baseball parks, and nature (particularly bird photography). Any activity that allows me to use a camera is truly satisfying.
