COLORS...RICH SUNLIT COLORS AND PAINTING FROM LIFE…THESE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENTS OF MY PAINTINGS. I paint with a feeling of nostalgia for the past and to show the beauty of today.

From the time I was little, I enjoyed drawing and copying the world around me. I still prefer to paint and draw from life. Through the years have attended classes at the Springfield and Worcester Art Museums. Studying with Paul Leveille of Holyoke with his boundless energy was such an inspiration. Then, round 1977 I became aware of and sought workshops with Cape Ann Artists, Jack Callahan, Rudy Caleo, and Charles Movalli. A Pastel Society of America Scholarship gave me the chance to study with Albert Handell at the Woodstock School of Art.

I am an elected artist of Rockport Art Association, North Shore Arts Association, a Signature Artist Member of Connecticut Pastel Society, and an elected Artist and past president of Academic Artists Association. Through these prestigious organizations, I have gratefully received more than 30 awards. I am represented now by Artworks Gallery, Ware, MA.
