Judith is a self-taught photographer that utilizes the art as a meditative process. She is interested in capturing natural composition and light, rather than enhancement/manipulation through technology. As a Lanesville resident, Judith traverses both Rockport and Gloucester to engage both nature and architecture, people and pastimes. Her work is reflective, and attempts to reveal spirituality and beauty. In her work life, she is the Director of the Tom Porter Program on Religion and Conflict Transformation at the Boston University School of Theology. Her research and teaching has provided opportunity for her to photograph in Australia, Bosnia, Croatia, Cuba, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, Russia, India, Costa Rica and Kazakhstan. She seeks in her photos, to highlight both diversity and common ground.
