This workshop is not only for beginners, but also for intermediate painters who wish to further explore the basics. We start by making 9-step value scales (black & white) and then color wheels. Next, are some essential color mixing exercises and a page of color recipes using our limited palette. Lastly, we will paint a simple geometric shape still life to introduce drawing, perspective, and paint handling. We will begin to train our eyes to see color as value.
Note: You will choose only one medium to work with, either oils or acrylics. Water soluble oils are welcome.
Beginner and intermediate painters are welcome. Space is limited.
