Known for her picturesque domestic scenes and still life, this exhibit celebrates the legacy of acclaimed American painter Marguerite Stuber Pearson (American, 1898-1978). As a woman and polio survivor, she refused her talent to be defined by her gender or her paralysis, and through life-long artistic pursuit, her work epitomizes expert craft and artistic commitment. Trained in the Boston School style, Pearson fostered a successful artistic career that spanned over 50 years with resolute determination. This selection features over twenty quintessential pieces of Pearson’s works.

Presented in partnership with the Endicott College Collection – Walter J. Manninen Trust and the Rockport Art Association & Museum.
