Embroidery samplers have been around for centuries, but we will be exploring something new in this workshop. We will practice some of the basic stiches - running stitch, back, stem, chain, seeding, and the French. Students will be provided with a design which will allow them to use a variety of stitches to create their very own personal sampler. Participants will be encouraged to personalize their sampler through the selection of color and stitches.
Beginners and intermediate stitchers are all welcome! An assortment of embroidery thread, needles, base fabrics, hoops, and a sampler design will be provided. Please bring a pair of scissors appropriate for cutting fabric and a bag for transporting items.
