An avid scuba diver, Dawn began her foray into photography by honing her underwater photography skills on trips to Cocos Island, the Galapagos, South Africa, the Red Sea the Maldives, Raja Ampat, Palau, Socorro, Hawaii the Bahamas and numerous other islands in the Caribbean. Her interactions with unique and beautiful sea creatures and seeing the changes in their environment over just a few years, led to her strong support for conservation and advocacy, and a desire to share the amazing beauty of the ocean and its varied inhabitants.

A native New Englander, Dawn's love of the ocean soon drew her to the North Shore, where her coastal surroundings further inspire her photography, above and below the waterline. Exploring the interplay of light and shadow, she is especially drawn to stormy skies and crashing waves, focusing on composition while capturing the impact of nature and its elements. Her body of work grew to include astrophotography in which she was able to capture the Milky Way, the craters of the moon and the Comet NEOWISE.

Her innate sense of adventure, which has led not only to her diving trips near and far, but also to a trek through Egypt, and a safari in South Africa, informs her work, and she is passionate about sharing her experiences and calling attention to the fierce fleeting beauty of our environment.
