Allan Forrest Small started painting as soon as he was old enough to hold a brush. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, he studied painting, drawing and lithography with instructors from Georgetown University, George Washington University, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Union Printmakers’ Atelier in Washington, DC. He has painted extensively around New England and throughout France. His work, focuding on traditional landscape and architectural subjects, has been exhibited in galleries and museums in Washington, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts and Maine, and has won numerous prizes.
